Digital Workplace Architect

About the Role

In this role, you take the lead in defining and enabling the next generation of workplace capabilities—from Cloud PC and Modern Workplace to Microsoft Copilot and App Control for Business. You join a dynamic team where you oversee architectural governance, ensuring that the bank’s digital landscape remains future-ready and compliant with the highest security standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Solution Design: Elaborate comprehensive infrastructure and application designs that align with strict security and architectural requirements.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed architectural schemes and technical documentation (HLD/LLD) for products like Windows/iOS Endpoints, Exchange Online, Azure (AVD/W365), Teams, and SharePoint.
• Roadmap & Innovation: Drive initiatives to evaluate and evolve the digital workplace roadmap, focusing on Modern Workplace capabilities and a cloud-first IT strategy.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure all solutions are in lockstep with organizational security policies and regulatory standards (e.g., DAS, Zero Trust, and Endpoint Security).
• Collaboration & Governance: Support engineering and operations teams, and collaborate with vendor partners to ensure successful, stable implementations.
• Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for innovation within the workplace ecosystem to enhance the end-user experience without compromising security.
• Automation: Integrate Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and PowerShell scripting to automate configuration, reporting, and management.

Your Profile

• Expert Knowledge: You are an expert in the M365 suite (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Copilot) and Azure ecosystems (Entra ID, AVD, W365, Intune, and Conditional Access).
• Architectural Mindset: Proven experience in writing detailed architecture documents and designing secure, performant solutions in high-standard environments (e.g., Finance).
• Security Focus: You have a strong affinity for security evolutions like Zero Trust and Passwordless authentication, maintaining a perfect balance with user experience.
• Technical Versatility: Solid understanding of networking basics (VLAN, NAC, VPN) and a passion for automation using PowerShell and Digital Experience Monitoring (DEX).
• Collaborative Leader: You excel at translating complex technical topics into actionable insights for stakeholders and enjoy facilitating architectural workshops.
• Language Skills: Native or bilingual proficiency in Dutch or French, combined with professional working proficiency in English.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure projects within a Digital Workplace environment, ideally at a senior level.
